The enduring friendship between Italian citizen Gabriele and Bangladeshi Jasim Uddin is a remarkable example of how mutual respect, trust, and affection can transcend all boundaries.

Over the past two decades, their relationship has grown far beyond ordinary friendship. What began as a meeting between two complete strangers has evolved into a deep family-like bond. Through years of unwavering trust, kindness, and shared experiences, they have become inseparable members of each other’s extended families.

Reflecting on this extraordinary journey, Jasim Uddin said that although they come from different countries, speak different languages, and belong to different cultures, the language of the heart is universal. It is this heartfelt connection, he said, that has made Gabriele an inseparable part of his life for the last 20 years.

According to Jasim, calling Gabriele merely a friend no longer does justice to their relationship. Today, he considers him a member of his family. Their enduring bond demonstrates that true friendship knows no borders, languages, or ethnic divisions. Instead, it is built on love, trust, respect, and genuine human values.
